Privacy policy
Last updated
This policy explains what personal data GOAT Robotics collects through this website and our enquiry and recruitment processes, why, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to meet India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and its rules, and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies.
Who we are
Goat Robotics Private Limited (CIN U62011TZ2023PTC030128) designs and manufactures autonomous mobile robots. Our office is at 3432+QHH, Muthugoundanpudur Road, Neelambur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641062, India. For the personal data described here, we are the Data Fiduciary under the DPDP Act and the controller under the GDPR.
This policy covers goat-robotics.com, enquiries you send us, and job applications. Data that customers process in GT Studio or on GOAT robots at their own sites is governed by our customer contracts, where we act on the customer’s instructions.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiries: name, work email, phone or WhatsApp number, company, country, the product you’re interested in, and your message.
- Brochure and datasheet downloads: name, work email, phone or WhatsApp number, company, job title (optional), country, and which documents you download.
- Job applications: name, email, phone, LinkedIn profile, CV and anything else you choose to send.
- Direct contact: what you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- How you found us: only if you allow analytics cookies, we keep the campaign details of the link you arrived by (for example
utm_sourceor an ad click ID), the website that referred you and the page you landed on, and share them with our sales team when you contact us or download a document.
Information collected automatically
- Necessary data: your consent choice and basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) used to run and secure the site.
- With your consent only: visit statistics kept in a first-party cookie (how many times you visited, when, how you first found us and the pages you viewed); analytics data from Google Analytics 4 and advertising measurement data from the LinkedIn Insight Tag, where enabled. See our cookie policy.
Information from others
Business contact details shared by partners, at events, or that you have made public on professional networks, when you or your organisation are interested in our products.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry — demos, quotes, site assessments and support. Basis: your consent given on the form (DPDP Act) and steps you request before a contract or our legitimate interest in responding (GDPR).
- To recruit — see below. Basis: your consent.
- To keep the website secure — preventing spam, abuse and attacks. Basis: legitimate uses permitted by law (DPDP Act) and legitimate interests (GDPR).
- To understand and improve the website and our campaigns — only if you opt in to analytics or marketing cookies. Basis: consent.
- To meet legal obligations — tax, accounting and lawful requests from authorities.
We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t add you to marketing lists because you sent an enquiry.
Brochure downloads
Before your first brochure or datasheet download we ask for your contact details. We use them to give you the document and so our sales team can contact you about your interest in our products — by email, phone or WhatsApp. Basis: your consent, given on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to security@goat-robotics.com or replying to any message from us, and we will stop contacting you.
To save you filling in the form again, your details are kept in an encrypted cookie on your device (goat_lead, 6 months). When you download another document, our sales team is told which one. If you allowed analytics cookies, your visit statistics are included so our team understands what you’re interested in. Your details and the documents you download are stored in our customer database on GOAT Robotics’ own server and sent to our sales inbox.
Each copy of a document you download carries a document ID that is linked to your details. It lets us recognise copies of our brochures and know who we gave them to. The ID itself contains no personal data.
Job applications
We use application data to assess your suitability for the role you applied for, contact you, and arrange interviews. Your application and CV are stored on GOAT Robotics’ own server and can be opened only by our hiring team and the managers involved. If you’re not hired, we keep your application for 12 months so we can contact you about similar roles, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Cookies and analytics
Analytics and marketing tools load only after you agree in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time: . Details are in the cookie policy.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that process data for us under contract: website hosting, email (Microsoft 365), form spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile, if enabled) and, with your consent, Google and LinkedIn.
- Authorised partners and integrators in your region, only when needed to respond to your enquiry and with your agreement.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
- A successor business if GOAT Robotics is reorganised, merged or acquired, under equivalent protections.
International transfers
Some providers, such as Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft, may process data outside India. We transfer data only to countries not restricted by the Government of India under the DPDP Act. For personal data subject to the GDPR, we rely on adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries, download requests and related correspondence: up to 3 years after our last contact, or longer if you become a customer and the data is needed for the contract.
- Job applications: 12 months after the role closes, unless you are hired.
- Server security logs: up to 90 days.
- Consent records: as long as needed to show that we obtained consent.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
How we protect it
The website is served only over HTTPS with HTTP Strict Transport Security and a restrictive Content Security Policy. Form submissions are validated and rate-limited, then stored in a database on our own server and sent to our mailboxes. Only authorised staff can see them, after signing in with their company Microsoft account: our sales team sees enquiries and downloads, and only our hiring team sees applications and CVs. Access, exports and deletions are logged, and the database is backed up daily. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected people as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- get a summary of the personal data we process about you and how;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, completed or updated;
- have your data erased when it is no longer needed or you withdraw consent;
- withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it;
- have your grievances redressed, and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapable.
If the GDPR applies to you, you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any right, email security@goat-robotics.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We may need to verify your identity. We respond within 30 days.
Grievance Officer
Questions or complaints about how we handle personal data can be sent to our Grievance Officer at security@goat-robotics.com, or by post to Goat Robotics Private Limited, 3432+QHH, Muthugoundanpudur Road, Neelambur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641062, India.
